What makes Our Fixtures and Systems "Universal"?
For many years the gundrilling industry has begged for one single fixture capable
of producing the Facet nose grind as well as the Eldorado™ Sweep grind.
The Facet grind consistently gains popularity in the U.S. based on its proven capabilities and
durability in terms of performance and tool life. It does a great job. But sometime, the
Eldorado™sweep grind may be the geometry that answers your drilling problem.
And wouldn't it be great to have an in-house fixture capable of regrinding those tricky step drills
that currently take forever to re-sharpen with existing equipment? Or, if you oursource,
imagine no longer having to send them back to the manufacturer for regrind.
The Universal Gundrill Grinding Fixture satisfies all the above needs!

The GF–1 handles the most popular range of Gundrills. And we're working on a simple add on system which will enable the fixture to sharpen drills down to .032" (0.8mm) dia.
Additional capabilities include grinding of step drills as well as multi–flute conventional tools.

The GF–2 is the GF–1's Big Brother, capable of grinding larger drills from 0.236" (6 mm) to 2.35" (60 mm) dia.
Like the GF–1, this fixture can grind step drills and multi–flute conventional tools within its diameter range.
